Decisions, taken individually, are cheap. Reverts are expensive — not the technical revert, but the social one. Walking back a decision costs trust, momentum, and the small reservoir of credibility the leader was spending to make the original call.
This is why good leaders are less interested in being right and more interested in being correctable. The system that makes reverts cheap is the system that can take more risk per decision.
