Hope in Adversity
Light noted, not installed.
Adversity does not ask for poetry. It takes inventory without consent.
Hope, when it appears, is not a chandelier lowered into the wreckage. It is a match struck once — enough to see the next footing, not enough to pretend the stairs are rebuilt.
Love may remain after tragedy. That is not the same as unscathed.
The text declines to call the scar a gift. It calls the scar a scar.
The match gutters but stays lit.
