Building Equality
Unfair scales — hands on the beam.
Unfairness shows its face — dread accurate when the scale was rigged before you arrived.
Sorting by surface builds narrow rooms. Privilege runs deep as aquifer. The less fortunate climb stairs that move.
Misfortune cycles like weather no one claims to own yet everyone defends.
Inequality wins when witnesses quit. Collective kin is not slogan. It is work.
Fight for right means rebuild the scale — fairness, kindness, difference celebrated without requiring difference to perform gratitude.
Grand world is not too late. It is not guaranteed. Hand in hand is tool, not photo.
Disparity removed is horizon, not arrival.
The beam still tips. You still put hands on it.
