Beauty of Forgiveness
Mercy with its eyes open.
Beauty here is not soft light. It is the seam where harm was sewn and someone chose not to pull harder.
Forgiveness does not beautify the wound. It refuses to make the wound your only room.
The lovely part — if lovely applies — is the hand unclenching while memory keeps its teeth.
You may admire the seam without calling it healed.
The teeth still remember.
