The Newsletter as Form: Why We Returned to Email
The newsletter is email with intentionality.

The newsletter is email with intentionality. It arrives in a place the reader already trusts, on a cadence the writer commits to, in a format that resists infinite scroll. None of this is innovative. All of it is increasingly rare.
The return to email is not nostalgia. It is a structural response to platforms that broke the contract between writer and reader. The feed reorders you. The algorithm demotes you. The inbox, for now, still delivers what was sent.
Write the newsletter you would want to receive. Few links, real sentences, a beginning and an end. The form rewards restraint and punishes filler, which is more than can be said for most surfaces on the modern internet.
