Lemongrass Oil for Uplifting Workspace Diffusion

Bright citrus-grass note — harsh if you leave it running. Morning, not all day.

[ wellness ]

Lemongrass is bright enough to feel like opening a window. It is also harsh enough to wreck a small room if you leave it running. I use it in the morning, short burst, then I shut it off before standup. All-day lemongrass is how a workspace starts to smell like a cheap cleaner and my sinuses file a complaint.

The note is citrus-grass, not orange oil. Photosensitivity is less the issue here than irritation: skin, eyes, airways. If it touches skin, dilute it in a carrier and keep it off the face. Do not ingest it. Pets do not need a citral fog in a closed office. Crack a window. One or two drops, ten to fifteen minutes. If it feels sharp, it is too much.

It may lift a sluggish start-of-day for some people. It does not treat depression, afternoon crash, or a calendar that should have been smaller. Pair it with coffee, light, and an actual break later, not with a diffuser you forget until evening.

Store it away from heat. If you are pregnant, nursing, or managing a chronic condition, ask someone qualified. This is not medical advice. Morning cue. Then air.
