Frankincense in a Minimal Desk Diffusion Practice

Resinous, slow scent for a one-drop work cue.

[ wellness ]

One drop. That is the whole practice. Frankincense is resinous and slow. It does not sparkle. I use it as a work cue: diffuser on means a focus block has started, diffuser off means I am allowed to leave the chair.

I do not run a meditation playlist under it. I do not need a origin story about temples. The smell is enough, and even then it is easy to turn a small room churchy if you get generous. One drop in water, twenty to thirty minutes, window available if the note sits too heavy. Evidence that inhaled frankincense treats anxiety is thin. What I have is a conditioned switch, same as a particular mug.

Do not ingest it. Dilute if it touches skin. Keep the bottle away from pets and heat; cats in particular do not need a resin mist in a closed office. If you are pregnant, nursing, or managing a chronic condition, ask someone qualified. This is not medical advice.

I skip blends that bury frankincense under citrus until it smells like a shop. The point of a minimal desk practice is that you can still smell the one material. If you cannot, you added too much, or you added the wrong thing.
